The UN forecasts 11.2 billion people will inhabit the planet by the year 2100.

Reports of climate disasters, ranging from species reduction, melting ice caps and global warming appear in the media daily, while human conflict is rife with wealth inequality and frequent abhorrent acts of violence.

About the Author

David Buik is a Scottish writer, academic and futurist who cares deeply about the world we live on. While many writers acknowledge the environmental challenges currently facing the planet and the massive inequality between humans, few suggest any real solutions to the problems. David Buik, acknowledging that these issues are compounded by the volumes of human beings added over the last 70 years, introduces a scientific protagonist with a mission to save the planet in his own unique way. Disparitis has been written to create a better understanding of the issues the world faces written as a fiction to allow the characters to demonstrate human’s frailties and divisions.
